It’s been a while since I’ve written an issue of After Dark, but now that I have new releases coming up, I just had to get back on track with it. Things have been moving fast since the last issue and we have a new Vampires Realm novel out.
Seventh Circle is the story of Lincoln, Chosen Son of Vehemens, and Lilith, a vampire hunter. The story introduces Section Seven, an elite organisation of vampire hunters which is responsible for tinkering with human DNA to create slayers capable of fighting the seven pure bloodlines of Europe. I’ve also been working on the next Vampires Realm novel. Winter’s Kiss is in edits right now and I’m hoping that it will be ready for release in February 2009. This story follows Winter, a Watchman commander of Validus, and a young Russian girl named Nika. Nika has always stopped to look at Winter ever since she was young and now that she’s an adult, Winter can’t help but notice how beautiful she is. His dreams of turning her are shattered when an alpha werewolf in the area attacks Nika. Winter rescues her but it’s too late. She’s been bitten and the werewolf is claiming to have rights over her, but Winter isn’t about to give her up. He can’t. Instead he journeys with her to Dmitri’s bastion, intent on getting her there safely and then seeking vengeance.
